Creative conviction
As well as being passionate about design, Freddie’s a keen musician and for him achieving the ideal design is akin to finding the right combination of notes in a piece of music. Big on personality, and on style, through his work Freddie seeks to share his creative vision and unwavering conviction in the direction of a space. He sums up his approach to creativity as “intuitive, coming from your own gut-feeling about the way you want to do, be and create things”. Never shying away from being an individual, he also advocates having the courage to be authentic and bold by tapping into the things that make you different as a part of your design.
Do South began its life in 2010 as a boarded-up newsagent in the heart of Crystal Palace, South London. Always a pioneer, its founder Freddie Oke sought to inject a little soul into the tired surrounding area with the opening of the Do South showroom.

The Do South Show home today is a beautiful design destination, offering customers an immersive experience. Here, you can enter a space that feels like a living and breathing home – from kitchen and dining, living and bedroom to office in a very relaxing atmosphere. This allows you to really visualise the possibilities and inspires you with ideas for your own dream interior.
Do South works in three key areas of interior and architectural design, including:
1) Retail: Shop online for the perfect item to update your space or create a completely new look that’s stylish and sophisticated. Whatever you need, from lighting to sofas, our team will help you find your ideal piece.
2) Projects: Do South brings creative interior and architectural design to both private clients and commercial spaces. Our portfolio is diverse and we can work to your specification and budget. Where required, we’ll also provide project management and construction services.
3) Trade: We support and collaborate with industry professionals, including but not limited to architects, interior designers, and developers. Take advantage of our design skills, supply chain, and vast network of contacts to help you source products and deliver your projects to the highest standard.

Since then, Do South has flourished, taking on several exciting interior and architectural design projects. Its role in the local and the design communities has also grown. Do South was cited by the Evening Standard as one of London’s top interior design showrooms of 2017. The showroom has also featured in a British sitcom! Do South has obtained both local and international press coverage recognising its contribution to the community.
